Winter Workshop

What: AutoDrive Challenge sponsors will be hosting technical skillshops for a two-day workshop. Teams will have the opportunity to learn and engage with sponsors during the skillshop sessions as well as in their virtual booths .Engage with fellow teammates or your rival team through gamifcation, student networking session and our public chat forum. SAE Memberships & Team Affiliations
It is required that ALL team members have an SAE Student membership and are properly affiliated to the team at www.sae.org. Please download the team affiliation guide for assistance located in your SAE series resources.
Note: The Fast Track Roster Affiliation deadlines are typically due two week prior to competition, requiring all students and faculty to be affiliated and added to your roster at www.sae.org . For the Winter Workshop- Any team members not on the team roster by Feb 1, 2021 will not receive a formal invite to the Virtual Event.
GM Scrap Policy for Donation
A reminder as we are nearing the end of the 4 year AutoDrive Challenge competition that the Bolt EV donation vehicle is to be scrapped at the end of the competition. We know this will be a sad day for the teams as over many years numerous students have learned through the use of this vehicle. At the beginning of the competition all teams signed a vehicle Donation Agreement indicating agreement to the disposal at the end of the competition. The GM Scrap Policy and is to be your guidance, this document can be found in the Series Resources on the AutoDrive Challenge website. While the policy indicates faxing of documentation, it would be best to email that information to GM, contact email to be provided.
Note: At the February Workshop we will have a Q & A session on this topic as follow up.
Excerpt below from signed Donation Agreement:
- Disposition of Donated Items. Upon completion of Donee’s use of the Donated Items, Donee will scrap the Donated Items in such a manner as to ensure that they can no longer be used or sold and in accordance with GM’s scrap policy, which has been provided to Donee. Donee will not sell the Donated Items. Donee will not dispose of or transfer the Donated Items except in accordance with this Section 3.
